The official Somni's Engine listing confirms powerful enemies, plus weapons, armor, consumables, hiding, and noise mechanics. Gameplay footage confirms that enemies and objective work can overlap, but it does not provide a reliable enemy encyclopedia or AI formula.

Read zones and rooms for the surrounding run structure and the gear testing guide for observed equipment.

What a recorded encounter shows

In PurpleCuub's first-run footage, an enemy appears near the player while they are learning a machine objective. The interface displays a noise meter and a Too noisy warning during play. The recording also shows the player using the environment while the enemy is nearby.

This supports three modest conclusions:

  • enemies can be present around objective areas;
  • the game gives visible feedback about player noise;
  • players have to divide attention between progress and immediate danger.

It does not reveal a universal detection distance, patrol route, hearing threshold, or spawn rule.

Stealth has measurable support

Peanut's recorded panel gives stronger evidence that stealth and noise are character systems rather than flavor text. The panel shows a high stealth stat, an active form that raises stealth, and Fleeting Presence, a passive that builds noise reduction while the player is not actively making noise.

That kit suggests one directly testable approach: stop producing noise and observe the displayed reduction before moving again. It still does not prove how every enemy responds, because no developer formula or controlled enemy test is available.

Preparing for an encounter

The official listing confirms weapons, armor, and consumables. One gameplay recording reads an Armor Plate as adding armor while reducing run speed; another shows weapon, ammunition, and support-item loadout areas. These systems indicate real preparation choices, but a single run cannot establish the best loadout.

Use visible feedback during play:

  • watch the noise meter instead of assuming an enemy is deaf or alerted;
  • read current item effects because beta values may change;
  • keep objective progress and an escape route in mind when an enemy enters the area;
  • distinguish a one-off interaction from a repeatable enemy rule.

What remains unverified

Community pages call the hostile entities Manics and publish names, stats, boss rules, and tactics. Those details have not been independently checked against current gameplay in this source collection, so they are not reproduced as facts here.

Procedurally generated rooms also do not automatically prove random enemy placement. The official source says rooms are procedural; it says nothing about enemy spawn logic. Enemy health, damage, loot, difficulty scaling, and detection formulas remain open verification tasks.

Somni's Engine is in beta and the official description warns of bugs and frequent restarts. Use the official Roblox page for current developer notices, and treat encounter advice as build-specific until it can be repeated.
