The official Somni's Engine Roblox description promises over 100 perks. The description checked for this guide did not include a complete perk catalog. This page therefore separates the official count from the much smaller set we could observe in recorded gameplay. It is an evidence-based starting point, not a complete all-perks database.
Use the recruits and toons reference for character abilities and the gear guide for equipment seen in the same runs.
What is officially confirmed
Somni Foundation's game description lists "over 100 perks to choose from" and says recruitable toons have unique perks and abilities. It also confirms weapons, armor, consumables, hiding, noise, and powerful enemies. We found no complete perk catalog, rarity table, or unlock method in that description.
The game is in beta and its own description warns of bugs and frequent restarts. Names, values, and balance observed now can change.
Verified gameplay examples
A CyberHaptic gameplay video shows Peanut's character panel and reads three named effects:
| Name | Type | What the recorded panel shows |
|---|---|---|
| Boxed In | Active | Changes Peanut's form, trading speed for resistance and stealth; the panel shows a larger stealth increase while stationary, reversion when hit, and a 10-second cooldown. |
| Trembling Grip | Passive | Reduces accuracy by two in the recorded build. |
| Fleeting Presence | Passive | Builds noise reduction while Peanut is not actively making noise. |
The same run visibly presents colored perk choices. Two examples read during the recording are Noise Insulation, with a displayed 50% value, and Tool Kit, which the video creator reads as adding repair progress. These are snapshots from a beta build, not permanent patch notes.
Why this is not a full list
A newly created community wiki lists many more perk names and assigns tiers. That is useful as a discovery lead, but it is not developer documentation and most entries were not independently visible in the captured gameplay. Repeating that table here would turn one unverified source into a second unverified source.
For the same reason, this guide does not claim:
- a universal best perk;
- exact appearance rates or rarity odds;
- a complete perk pool;
- that Prisms purchase perks;
- that a recorded value is unchanged in the current build.
How to evaluate a perk in your run
Read the effect in the current in-game panel before selecting it. Compare it with your toon stats and immediate objective: repair effects matter when working machines, while stealth and noise effects support a quieter approach. A drawback can also change the decision; Peanut's recorded kit, for example, combines strong stealth tools with an accuracy penalty.
Treat this page as a verification log. Read each effect in the current in-game panel rather than assuming a recorded beta value still applies. The beginner guide covers the broader loop, while the official Roblox game page remains the primary source for developer wording.
